Technical Support Engineer


Manchester – on site


£30k - £35k


I’m working with a leading housing association who are looking for technical support engineers to join their small but mighty team.

Key Responsibilities of a Technical Support Engineer:


  • Provide operational desktop and systems support - Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Research and identify solutions to end user software and hardware issues.
  • Triage and escalate unresolved issues where appropriate
  • Follow up with clients to ensure their IT systems are fully functional after troubleshooting
  • Maintain centralised knowledgebase and ensure it kept up to date.


What experience are we looking for in a technical support engineer:

  • Experience within technical support roles
  • Familiarity with advanced principles and adoption of ITIL
  • Strong documentation and communication skills both verbally and written.
  • Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products
  • Experienced working with and improving Windows Server technologies (Windows 10, Office 365, MS Azure)
  • Experienced working with and improving Microsoft Enterprise Services (Active Directory, Exchange Server, Configuration Manager SQL Servers etc)
  • Background in service desk roles is useful but not essential
