Our client is a leading furnishing service provider for residential property professionals across the UK, including estate agencies, build-to-rent developers, student accommodation, and care home providers.

About the Role:

We are seeking a proactive Senior Business Development Manager to drive growth in the Residential Real Estate sector. As the No. 2 to the Head of Business Development, you will oversee the team and support department leadership. Experience in a similar business, ideally a competitor in the Furniture or Furnishing sector, is essential.

You will work with a range of clients, from large-scale property developers furnishing multiple units to one-off property manager orders, developing strategies to generate new business and close sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing deals.
  • Implement business development strategies.
  • Engage with clients via phone, email, social media, and in-person meetings.
  • Collaborate with the residential and customer service teams.

  • 2+ years' business development experience in the furniture sector.
  • Team leadership and management experience.
  • Strong selling, negotiation, and networking skills.
  • Proactive approach to generating new business.
  • Strategic thinking and commercial acumen.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
