Applicantsare invited for Senior Clinical Fellow (ST3+ equivalent) in Obstetrics andGynaecology in Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to work in afriendly, dynamic, large, teaching acute hospital trust. Posts are available now and for 6 monthsfixed term with a possibility of extension to 2 years.
Thepost holder will work at a level equivalent to that of a ST3+ trainee.Applicants must have completed Foundation competencies either as part of the UKFoundation programme or demonstrate equivalent training. Applicants should haveexperience at working at a ST3+ level for a minimum of 6 months ideally withinthe UK. Basic Life Support training isessential.
Candidates will require current and valid GMCregistration.
Main duties of the job

The service is delivered through four sites: St James UniversityHospital (SJUH), Leeds General Infirmary (LGI), Wharfdale General Hospital andSeacroft Hospital.
Thisis a non-training post, however, it allows the post holder, including applicantswho already hold CCT, to gain experience that will help to secure future posts.
Thepost holder will be an integral part of the service taking part direct clinicalcare, remote consultations, leading or assisting on the preparation ofendometriosis MDT, pelvic pain MDT, and endometriosis clinics, theatre listsincluding robotics.
Thepost holder will also be encouraged to take part in research and audit projectsin endometriosis and pelvic pain. Our department is research active andcurrently recruiting to NIHR portfolio and commercial studies in endometriosis

TheLTHT Endometriosis Service is specially commissioned to deliver theendometriosis care to the patients of Leeds. It consists of a multidisciplinaryteam that is able to assess and treat women with all grades of endometriosisranging from mild disease to the most severe form involving the bladder, boweland thoracic endometriosis. We work in close collaboration with colorectalsurgeons, urologists, thoracic and plastic surgeons.

Be able to provide complete details of their employment history Have evidence that their career progression is consistent with their personal circumstances Have evidence that their present level of achievement and performance is commensurate with the totality of their period of training Ability to apply sound clinical knowledge and judgement to problems Ability to prioritise clinical need Ability to maximise safety and minimise risk Recognition of, and ability to undertake the initial management of, an acutely ill patient. Have completed their post-graduate training at least to a level of an ST3 specialty doctor or equivalent in obstetrics and gynaecology Possess or eligible to apply for GMC Registration Familiarity with UK health system and NHS Is up to date and fit to practise safely and is aware of own training needs. Applicants must have demonstrable skills in written and spoken English, adequate to enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as assessed by the GMC
