About the role:

This role is based in Portsmouth, operating as a hybrid working model with three days in the office, and two working from home. All travel costs to and from appointments from your office base will be reimbursed.

As a Caseworker you will be:

Effectively manage a caseload of self-referrals or referred service users. Ensure each victim receives an individually appropriate tailored support and information service. Undertake risk and needs assessments to address the specific needs of the client. Provide information and advocacy. Identify barriers to individuals accessing our services and determine solutions. To work alongside a team of staff to reflect the diverse community and the needs of victims. Develop and maintain effective working relationships and promote effective communication between staff and stakeholders. Maintain accurate and confidential case records.

You will need:

Understanding of the impact of crime on victims. Effective verbal and written communication. Proven track record of successfully delivering services. Using generic IT applications competently. Understanding of practical application of equal opportunities and diversity and inclusivity. Ability to balance competing needs and priorities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Maintain professional boundaries. Knowledge and understanding of the requirement for confidentiality and safe working practices, maintaining records in accordance with the Data Protection Act.

This role involves regular travel and due to the location, a driving license and access to a vehicle is considered an essential requirement.
