About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Victim Support team as a Caseworker, working 37.5 hours a week. As a Caseworker, you will be responsible for providing support and information services to victims of crime, ensuring each individual receives a tailored service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of self-referrals or referred service users, providing effective support and guidance.
  • Undertake risk and needs assessments to address the specific needs of clients, ensuring they receive the most appropriate support.
  • Provide information and advocacy, identifying barriers to individuals accessing our services and determining solutions.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with staff and stakeholders, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential case records, adhering to data protection guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Understanding of the impact of crime on victims, with a commitment to providing empathetic and supportive services.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work with diverse groups and individuals.
  • Proven track record of delivering services, with a focus on customer care and satisfaction.
  • Competency in using generic IT applications, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new systems.
  • Knowledge and understanding of equal opportunities, diversity, and inclusivity, with a commitment to promoting these values in all aspects of work.
  • Ability to balance competing needs and priorities, working independently and as part of a team.
  • Maintain professional boundaries, adhering to confidentiality and safe working practices.
