JobDescription

We are seeking a skilled Payroll& People Advisor with a strong understanding of statutoryabsence legislation along with knowledge of tax National Insuranceand pension regulations (LGPS and Teachers). This role requiresexpertise in payroll systems particularly for user acceptancetesting and resolving complex payroll queries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure accurate data input for payrollprocessing adhering to statutory and contractualrequirements.
  • Resolve payroll queries withinagreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Handlepayroll processes including payments and statutoryreporting.
  • Safeguard the integrity and securityof personal contractual and financialinformation.
  • Collaborate within the team tomaintain highquality service delivery.
  • Providetimely and professional responses to customer enquiries via variouscommunication channels.
  • Contribute to serviceimprovements and participate in systemtesting.
Required Experience andQualifications: Essential:
  • Strong understanding of statutory absencelegislation with additional knowledge of tax National Insurance andpension regulations.
  • Ongoing professionaldevelopment in relevant areas ideally working towards a CIPPqualification.
  • Experience using payroll systemsto deliver a highquality service.
  • Proficient inpayroll processes including statutory payments deductions andpension schemes.
Desirable:
  • Experienceworking in a customeroriented environment providing policy adviceand seeking continuous serviceimprovement.
  • Strong communication skills withthe ability to listen empathise and respond effectively in bothwritten and verbal formats.
