Waste Operative

Salary: Competitive plus Veolia benefits and pension

Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. 9am - 5pm (Tuesdays is a 6:30pm finish)

Location: Solihull, B92 0DY

What you'll be doing;

  • Assist members of the public, visitors and on-site and advise where necessary
  • Report all service and safety concerns
  • Check equipment and mobile plant before using them
  • Keep the site clean and tidy
  • Inspect waste received at the Waste Transfer Stations.
  • Verify all incoming materials and only accept them if they comply with the criteria
  • Minor maintenance to plant equipment such as bulb changes and oil level check
  • Complete and report the daily and weekly cleaning and maintenance of the Mobile Plant
  • Operation of the weighbridge and directing traffic on-site
  • Plant operation (where trained)



What we're looking for;

  • Basic understanding of Health & Safety
  • Previous experience in a similar role would be beneficial
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
