A new and exciting opportunity has arisen, Achieve are recruiting a Women’s Engagement Recovery Coordinator post for the services in Bolton. The post will seek to work with women and women’s support agencies, hostels and refuges to identify and reduce barriers for those accessing drug and alcohol treatment.

As the post holder you will have the opportunity to develop this role to meet the need of the local community, liaising with stakeholders and providing Recovery Coordination for a cohort of female service users.

The post offered is a full time hours per week, primarily based at Bolton but may require travel across wider addictions footprint.

The post holder should be able to demonstrate understanding and knowledge of the issues affecting female substance users and potential barriers to accessing services.

They will have knowledge of the recovery agenda, excellent communication skills with service users and, their families by using motivational approaches to inspire others to achieve their goals.

Main duties of the job

To offer advice, information, advocacy and support to substance misusers accessing or seeking to access the service, and to provide a range of interventions dependent on the needs of the service and the service user.

To case manage identified service users with substance misuse problems, keeping them fully informed of the range of services and support available to them and the choices they have.

Ensuring that are involved in developing realistic recovery plans and facilitating access to psychosocial interventions and support both within and external to the service.
