Context of the role
Diageo is undertaking an ambitious transformation journey including a global transition to the newest version of SAP (S/4 HANA), redevelopment of our reporting and analytics landscape and several process specific initiatives. This ambition has caused us to rethink our relationship with processes and data, and systems and develop a new process & data ownership model led by Global Process Owners (GPOs), assisted by Global Process Leads, and Process Analysts across all key domains within our business processes – including Global Procurement. To ensure a future-proof process design and successful transformation, Diageo is looking for a Global Procurement Process Analyst with a solid track record of process mapping and modelling and with Procurement (upstream and downstream) process understanding.
 

Overview
The Global Procurement Process Analyst role will work in Global Procurement (including STP and Procurement) domain globally and will be the key contributor in defining the taxonomy and language used to describe relevant processes, ownership of process health definitions / metrics / tracking, as well as responsibility to define what initiatives (including digital) should be initiated to support the improvement of processes. Another key aspect of the role will be the process mapping, ensuring controls are in the right place and effective, and documenting our processes so there is a single source of the truth.

This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
 

  Key responsibilities

Analyse the current process gaps and opportunities and design the future business processes in Procurement in line with the priority transformation initiatives.

Maintains process integrity and lead the process improvement within key priority area.

Ensure consistency, standardization and codification of process design inducing external benchmarking and futureproof capabilities.

Address process pain-points and via improvement plans

Improve process compliance in-line with Diageo’s Control Framework

Understanding where process exception exists in the business.

Track and analyse performance data to measure success and identify areas for further improvement.

Support change impact assessment and provide necessary content and explanation for process and system functionality.

  Qualifications and Experience Required:

Extensive experience across Procurement Operations or Procurement Category experience

Experience in research and analysis of data, business process improvement, or related roles.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex processes and data sets.

Experience of working with cross-functional teams to map complex processes, identifying difficulties and bottlenecks.

Experience of leading and facilitating workshops with senior stakeholders to extract key information.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills at all levels

Process Certifications (Six Sigma / Lean or equivalent) is an advantage.
