We have an opportunity to recruit a Band 5 OT to join our passionate and supportive Team within Adults of Working Age Mental Health Directorate. Our service provision covers Acute and Rehab in-patient wards as well as Community Recovery Team and your work will predominantly involve the inpatient wards. Main duties of the job

The main duties of the job involve effective delivery of Occupational Therapy process of assessment, intervention and evaluation with reference to the relevant guidelines and legislations and with application to up to date and evidence based practice. The Model of Human Occupation Model is predominantly used in our service provision and you will be supported by the senior OTs to support your use and further development of your professional skills. You will be expected to be a reflective practitioner, committed to lifelong learning.

You will delegate and supervise junior OT staff members.

You will support the service with the prioritisation, planning, development and delivery of a high quality occupational therapy service in accordance to local OT Mission Statement goals.

Job responsibilities

You will work as an autonomous professional managing own case load.

You will provide standardised and non-standardised specialist assessments.

You will develop, facilitate and monitor individual as well as group intervention programme.

You will work as a key member of the multidisciplinary team attending ward rounds, Care Programme Approach meetings, discharge meetings and providing timely feedback.
