The Devon Business Intelligence Shared Service was created in February 4 to provide BI services to the Devon system. Hosted by the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, and currently in phase 1, the Shared Service comprises analysts, data engineers, data scientists and Cogito developers from Royal Devon and Devon ICB, delivering BI for these organisations.

 Phase 2 involves further widening the scope of the service, leading ultimately to a system-wide arrangement which will provide resilience and promote innovation and collaborative working. The service will also introduce an ICS-wide data architecture fit for the future and with the potential to significantly transform the way we use data, increasing productivity and improving outcomes for patients.

This position offers a proactive and motivated candidate the chance to expand current proficiencies and develop new skills within a changing and challenging environment.

This post-holder will work closely with colleagues across the Shared Business Intelligence Shared Service and various clinical, managerial and finance staff from organisations across the Devon Health and Social Care System, to gain a better understanding of the System’s performance and to support the delivery of its key objectives.

The position will require a good understanding of key Health and Social Care datasets alongside the analytical and statistical techniques that can be applied to healthcare information.

The post-holder will be part of a team that supports the implementation and development of the CHC suite of Business Intelligence (BI) tools to enable and deliver the NHS Devon ICB’s CHC performance monitoring and information reporting requirements.

This role will be suited to a self-motivated and talented individual that is dedicated to working as part of an effective and ambitious Informatics team.

Working Pattern: hours per week. Monday to Friday (flexible)
