District nurses make a difference everyday to the lives of the people they visit at home and in residential care homes. They provide increasingly complex care for patients and support for family members. Our nurses play a vital role in delivering compassionate care to our community members, and we are looking for passionate individuals who share our commitment.

Job responsibilities

Applicants must have a full valid driving licence and have access to a car for work. If necessary, adjustments can be considered in line with the Equality Act 2010.

The service operates 7 days per week, 8am to Full or part time (minimum hours) roles are available. Annualised hours contracts will be considered.

Qualifications

Essential

Registered General Nurse (adult). Educated to degree level or equivalent

Knowledge and Experience

Essential

Knowledge around long term conditions and their management. Evidence of ongoing professional development.

Desirable

Previous Community Services experience.

Technical expertise/competence

Essential

Demonstrates an understanding of local and national issues influencing the delivery and development of health care. Demonstrates a knowledge and understanding of evidence based care. Demonstrates an understanding of the Clinical Governance requirements.
