Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Medical Staffing Administrator for the Trauma and Orthopaedics Business Unit. The post is based within the co-ordination centre, part of the Division of Surgery at the Royal Derby Hospital Site.
The successful candidate will join the existing team of Medical Staffing Administrators.
All relevant training will be provided.
It is strongly recommended that prospective candidates have an informal visit.
Working hours will ideally be 07:30 - 03:30.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to embrace and develop this interesting role.
You must be an effective communicator and possess excellent IT skills, Microsoft Word and Excel to help provide an efficient medical staffing service for the Surgical Division. Experience with rota software would be advantageous.
This role will involve the collection and dissemination of information to ensure prompt production of rotas, taking into account annual, study and special leave whilst ensuring clinical commitments and targets are delivered. This is a challenging and fast paced role. Experience in rota development would be an advantage but not necessary. A pro-active and organised approach to work is essential along with the ability to build good working relationships with Junior and Senior Doctors, Management Teams and external departments.
The role will also involve entering jobs for advert onto the recruitment system and attending the interviews in an administration capacity.
