Your role as a Digital Communications Officer:

Our company is changing. As the environment we operate in shifts, we are evolving the way we communicate about our business to make sure we can meet both the energy challenges of the future and the expectations of our colleagues. We are growing our digital communications presence both internally and externally and are looking for a bright, energetic digital marketing officer to help invigorate how we deliver communications for the business and to our colleagues. This will include supporting the day-to-day management of our external websites and the creation and growth of a brand-new company-wide intranet. Knowledge of SharePoint and associated Microsoft 365 apps is essential for this new role.

The communications team at Vitol is a small team, with real opportunity for the right candidate to make their mark. Vitol is a fast-moving, agile company, and from the first day you will be liaising with senior stakeholders and supporting transformative projects across the business. Working across both our internal and external communications portfolio, this is an exciting opportunity for a junior colleague to gain a breadth of communications experience in a global company.


Qualifications

What you need to bring

  • 2+ years in a marketing or communications role.
  • Strong SharePoint skills and related Microsoft 365.
  • Experience creating and managing sites/posts in Microsoft Viva Connections and Engage (Yammer).
  • Experiencing managing WordPress CMS.
  • Good Microsoft skills (specifically PowerPoint and Word).
  • Familiar with Adobe, especially Photoshop.
  • A good understanding of, and interest in digital communication trends.
  • Organised, strong attention to detail, intellectually curious, creative, energetic and enthusiastic.

  • Video editing skills.
  • A genuine interest in business and markets.
