Adecco are currently recruiting for a
**Digital Communications Officer **to join a prestigious university based in
**Holborn.**

**Roles and responsibilities**

**Digital Communications and Community Engagement**
- To take responsibility for departmental digital engagement and social media plans, and to actively contribute to related strategy and development.
- To write, edit and proofread copy for webpages and social media platforms.
- To ensure that departmental websites, social media and communications promote events, research and teaching, encourages engagement with staff, students, alumni and external contacts, and reaches as wide an audience as possible.
- To develop relationships with staff in both academic departments (European Institute and School of Public Policy), and with the School's central Communications Division.
- To work with the Communications Division to develop audio-visual digital content for department websites, including editing audio recordings and producing podcasts.
- To assist with production of digital newsletters, and with updating notable activities on our News webpages.
- To regularly post newsworthy items on social media channels, and to monitor student/public response

**Departmental Administration and Development**
- To assist with public events in each department as required, including but not limited to: designing events communications and publicity materials, and/or assisting during the event.
- To attend and contribute to other relevant departmental meetings, including bringing items of relevance to the various meetings for discussion.
- To contribute to team working and relationships within the Professional Services teams to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of administration in the departments.
- To compile information and data related to the role, as requested, and to report this to management/relevant committees as needed.

**Flexibility**
- To deliver services effectively, a degree of flexibility may be required in the duties performed in order to meet the demands of service. Job roles may also naturally develop over time and ongoing substantial changes to a role will be discussed between line managers and their staff, with job descriptions updated as and when appropriate.
- Public events for the two departments are typically held in the evenings and outside of core working hours. Where the postholder contributes to these events, evening work will be needed. Time off in lieu for evening work will be offered.
