Reed Secure is a specialist provider of permanent, contract, temporary and outsourced recruitment solutions for security cleared professionals.
We require a Digital Content Officer to cover an existing workload within Metropolitan Police , based in Empress State Building (Hybrid working).
This is an interim position for an initial 6 months with the potential to be extended, dependent on workload.
We are looking for a motivated individual with some experience working in communications, or a related discipline in a digital environment. You’ll understand how communications strategies and plans are developed, have great writing skills and know how to create content which best resonates with an audience.
You will need to carry out a range of tasks to help plan, develop and implement communications activity. You’ll have a keen interest and working understanding of different communications techniques and channels. You will support wider essential administrative duties as required.
Some experience (+2 years) working on communications projects with evidence demonstrating your impact and involvement.
Interest and good understanding of digital communications and how they can be used to best effect.
Awareness of the role of audience insight and research in planning communications activity.
Good understanding of various communication formats, using that knowledge to choose the right approach.
Experience in producing high quality content for different audience groups, purpose and formats.
Understanding of the importance of evaluation and the practical application of lessons learned to improve communications activity.
Confidence and enthusiasm to put forward new ideas and suggest innovative approaches, based on wider awareness of the latest communication developments.
Committed to self-improvement, with an enthusiasm for Learning & Development, and a desire to contribute to wider team and network initiatives.
Willing to play your part and support others in times of crisis, including working under pressure.
Interest in the application of behavioural science to communications.
Awareness of the use of analytical tools and data to improve communications.
This role offers a competitive salary of £20.08 per hour PAYE / £25.51 per hour Umbrella and you’ll be working via Reed who offer great benefits such as discounts, cashback offers and more as well as weekly pay.
