We are looking for a

n enthusiastic administrator interested in Global surgery and working in LMIC’s to work in our Global Surgery research group. You will be based in The Nuffield Department of Surgical Sciences (At the John Radcliffe Hospital Site) as your normal place of work but you may/will be able to agree a pattern of regular remote working with your line manager. You will be working very closely with the research team members from Oxford, Zimbabwe and Tanzania to ensure the effective conduct of the study in accordance with the trial protocol and regulatory and institutional procedures where appropriate. This will include, but not limited to, liaison with participating clinical research centres and developing and coordinating the study at an international level. You will work as part of a wider team, working closely with the clinical and academic staff across all participating countries to ensure the highest standards of research governance and to deliver the trial on time and to budget. About you You will be educated to degree level and will have the following skills/experience:• Evidence of excellent communication skills, both oral and written.• Experience in clinical research and working knowledge of the relevant ethical, legislative and research governance requirements relevant to clinical trials• Familiarity with medical terminology• Ability to demonstrate good organisational and problem-solving skills i.e. able to plan and prioritise, and to work to deadlines, with an enthusiastic approach to challenges• Friendly, flexible and co-operative with an ability to work as a motivator and contributor in a team• Ability to demonstrate application of a range of IT skills (e.g. Microsoft packages)• Willingness to travel to trial sites and to meetings nationally This full-time post is available from January 2025 and is fixed-term until 31st December 2027 in the first instance. We would be willing to consider applications for part-time hours. Application Process
