Teaching Assistants (Urgently Needed)

Role Overview: We are urgently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored assistance to students, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their academic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Support students in developing effective learning strategies and study skills.
  • Collaborate with teachers to adapt classroom materials and activities to meet the needs of all students.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
  • A patient, empathetic, and supportive approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Desirable:

  • Relevant qualifications in education or special educational needs.
  • Experience working with secondary school students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
