Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant, you will provide invaluable support to our pupils with a range of needs, including PMLD, complex medical conditions, and autism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to pupils in various learning contexts, including the classroom, local environment, and community, to aid their learning, development, and progress across the curriculum.
  • Empower and support pupils with a range of needs to achieve their educational and personal goals.
  • Promote equality, diversity, and the rights of our pupils to be treated with respect and seen as learners.
  • Place emphasis on support and empowerment for our pupils.
  • Promote a greater understanding of Special Education issues and uphold the values of the school.
  • Provide high-quality support in all aspects of the role.
Requirements
  • Relevant professional or personal experience in SEN is required for this role.
  • Ability to work with pupils with a range of needs, including PMLD, complex medical conditions, and autism.
  • Strong understanding of SEN and the importance of providing support and empowerment for pupils.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and provide support to colleagues as needed.
