Year 4 Teacher required for a long term temporary job in Runcorn - Starting April 2024

Hays Education are currently supporting a Primary School in Runcorn to recruit a Year 4 teacher for the Summer term. The role is initially for 1 term, however it could be extended or made permanent.
The school are welcoming applications from ECT's/NQT's and experienced teachers with previous KS2 experience.

Your new company 
You will be working in an Ofsted "Good" Primary School located just outside Runcorn town centre where you will join a welcoming teaching and support team who pride themselves on creating an environment which encourages children to learn and achieve their best. 
Your new role 
Your new role will include all aspects of lesson planning and preparation. You will deliver it to Year 4 pupils and follow the values and standards of the school. You will be engaging in and monitoring behaviour management in a variety of ways and incorporating a myriad of Behaviour for Learning methods. You will be ensuring pupil engagement and differentiating material to suit attainment needs. You will be required to collaborate with other staff members to boost student engagement. 
What you'll need to succeed 
You will have full class teacher responsibilities, including attending parents' evening and supporting with extra curricular activities.

  • Planning and delivering creative and engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Assessing students’ progress and providing feedback
  • Creating a positive and engaging learning environment
  • Supporting students with their social and emotional development
What you'll get in return

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching Year 2 students

  • Excellent communication skills
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • A current DBS on the update service or be willing to acquire one through Hays
  • Relevant experience with available reference
