KHR is working with aworld-class Dartford-based company looking to hire a Line Chef fortheir large staff canteen on a 10-month maternity covercontract.

Responsibilities of the Line Chefwill include:

* Preparing, cooking andpresenting high-quality breakfast and lunch dishes in accordancewith the published menu plan as set by the Chef Manager
*Supporting the Chef Manager in the development of recipes andideas
* Acting as the responsible person in the absenceof the Chef Manager, providing cover and support for junior staffmembers as well as creating meal plans, cooking dishes and managingthe kitchen
* Taking customer orders, serving meals andsnacks and operating the till
* Ensuring the foodpreparation, storage and serving areas are clean and hygienic inline with industry requirements and completion of the relevantHACCP cleaning record documentation
* Supporting with thedaily order of stock and replenishment of items
*Supporting with the washing of tableware and cleaning of foodpreparation equipment, floors and other kitchen tools andareas
* Completing relevant paperwork and documentationand filing in the appropriatelocations

Candidate Profile

* Experience in all aspects of cooking,baking and menu development and proven experienceof
working within a similar kitchen-basedenvironment
* Experience in the principles of Basic FoodHygiene and recognised catering regulations
* The abilityto work to own initiative without close supervision; open tochange, new ideas and processes
* A strong awareness ofand full commitment to adherence to health and safety
*Effective team working skills, has a positive, can-do and flexibleattitude
* Excellent communication skills; both writtenand verbal
* Basic computer literacy with experience inMS Word, Excel and Outlook
* Basic Food Hygiene Level 2(essential)
* NVQ L2 in Hospitality or Catering(desirable)
