Job summary

To support the Radiology Service by co-ordinating between the Radiologists, Nursing Staff, Radiographers, Support Staff, Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) Co-ordinators and Appointment teams.

To ensure efficient and timely urgent and 2 week rule procedures are arranged and undertaken, and to be a central point of contact for all enquiries for cancer pathways.

Radiology Cancer Patient Navigator

Would you like to be involved in an exciting post improving the experience of patients with a suspected or confirmed cancer?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 4 Radiology Cancer Patient Navigator to support the Radiology department. The post holder is required to fundamentally keep track of patients on cancer pathways to ensure timely diagnostics and results whilst assisting in the delivery of admin tasks. They will be a point of contact for all specialties and patients where necessary with regard to imaging examinations.

We are looking for a friendly, organised and compassionate person who will need to be able to demonstrate commitment and excellent communication skills. Applicants need to be able to work independently and on their own initiative.

The successful applicant will be proficient in the use of Excel and word, experience of hospital IT systems is desirable but training can/will be given.

This post is subject to formal matching. The Band is confirmed but there may need to be some revision to the Job Description required in the future
