This is a fantastic opportunity for anexperienced and motivated Regional EngineeringLeadto join the Corios rapidly growing offshore windbusiness and support the transition to a low carbon sustainableglobaleconomy.

Youwill:

Predominatelyfocused on offshore wind farm project origination. For Coriosearlystage project opportunities you will:

  • Lead the development refinement andoptimization of technical concepts.
  • Developand own the design and cost assumptions to enable investmentappraisal.
  • Evolve the design developmentstrategy for each project including the preliminary schedulesbudgets and scopes.
  • Collaborate closely withthe engineering functional teams to secure the necessaryengineering input.
  • Ensure that our technicalsolutions are well aligned with all relevant Corio functionsincluding our regional team our Valuation and Business Performanceteam and our procurement team.
  • Coordinate theinterface between the Engineering Offshore Construction and PMOdepartments and the various other business teams delivering earlyactivities necessary to secure new projects.

Furthermore you will be responsiblefor developing robust plans and scoping the work packages necessaryfor projects progressing into development prior to hand over.Detailing the engineering design development strategy for theproject and developing the associated schedules budgets andpreliminary scopes. These deliverables will reflect the projectdevelopment strategy stakeholder needs market regulatoryrequirements and the business risk appetite given the local marketdynamics.

  • You will be required tofacilitate successful transition to the local development team oncea project matures into the development phase.
  • You are a safety leader and incorporate safetyin all you do.
  • You will take a deeplycollaborative approach to your work by creating engagementmaintaining relationships and communicating efficiently across abroad range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • You are expected to deliver your agreed scopessafely on time within the approved budget and quality requirements.
  • You will be working in a matrix structure;your functional manager will be Corios Head of Engineering.
  • You will work in integrated project teams ledby our Regional teams and collaborate closely with colleagues inour procurement and valuation functions.

Your key areas ofresponsibility under this role are as follows:

  • Collaborating with the Valuation& Business Performance team the Regional Teams andProcurement on all regional opportunities in leads and origination(including all M&A). Developing the technical assumptionsand inputs to the assessment of such opportunities and ensuringconsistency in our approach and forecasting of the future LCOE forprojects (models developed by others). Assessing the site specificoperational and logistical considerations and refining specificmodelling for each opportunity.
  • Coordinate theexternal resources required to deliver including suppliersconsultants and manufacturers.
  • Developinginitial work scopes resource forecasts and budgets for thesubsequent engineering design development of each opportunity inpreparation for transition to the development phase and hand overto a dedicated technical lead. Ensuring sufficient DEVEX allowanceis made to support the engineering works necessary to provide theinputs and refined design assumptions required to support theinitial project development objectives in respect of permitting andcommercial optimization.
  • Additionally willcoordinate the input from Offshore Construction and PMO teamsduring the early leads and origination phase of projects and ensuredevelopment plans reflect the scopes and requirements of theseteams.
  • Support colleagues with partneringnegotiations as required understanding and evaluating thecapabilities and merits of various partnering options.
  • Support with Corio E&C representationof local technical events and conferences coordinate Corioparticipation in regional industry groups and/or projects such thatthese may benefit our project pipeline and business profile.
  • Lead and manage WHSES as required for initialinvestigations and surveys.
  • Contribute to thedevelopment of initial project schedule/programme and DEVEX budgetrequest.
  • Contribute to the identificationquantification and management of project development and executionrisks and opportunities.
  • Support thedevelopment of Corios global engineering capability and processes.For example knowledge sharing sessions design reviews capturinglessons learned governance processes standard procedures anddocumentationdevelopment.

Requirements

Weexpect that you have the following skills qualifications andexperience:

  • A degree in a relevantengineering or scientific subject or equivalent.
  • 7 years experience working in renewables oradjacent energy sector with at least 5 years in offshore wind.
  • As strong generalist Engineering Manager youare expected to be technically competent with a breath of knowledgeacross all primary technical packages required to deliverindustrial scale offshore wind.
  • Understandingthe key engineering considerations for early offshore winddevelopment and able to undertake appropriate technoeconomicanalysis to evaluate design options quickly refine solutions andmake recommendations.
  • Strong analyticalskills.
  • It is essential that you are able tothrive in dynamic environments quickly establish strong workingrelationships and demonstrate a holistic understanding oflargescale offshore wind farm projects
  • Experience in coordinating a multidisciplinaryteam of experts within a matrix organisation.
  • Experienced in developinggreen field project concepts identifying key technical risks andopportunities and project planning/budgeting.
  • Innovative and open minded to unconventionalsolutions.
  • Comfortable with uncertainty andproject definition ambiguity.
  • Organised anddynamic with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders resolveconflicting demands and coordinate multiple design developmentprojects concurrently.
  • Excellent communicationand language skills with the ability to simplify complexityarticulate clearly the technical rational for decisions and presenteffectively to senior leadership.
  • Demonstratebusiness awareness understanding of the key drivers and levers thatinfluence business performance and project economics. A strongvalue creation mindset recognizing how to create retain and enhancevalue is needed.
  • Knowledge of key suppliersinfrastructure requirements and related facilities.
  • A collaborative cooperative proactiveleadership approach with a passion for sharing knowledge andexperience.
  • Ability to build and maintaintrust with others.
  • A handson mentality you areproactive demonstrating an ability to work with a wide range ofinternal and external stakeholders perform in time sensitiveenvironments and go the extra mile.
  • Experiencesupporting a global business demonstrating comfort working acrossmultiple international and/or regional markets.
  • A leader with knowledge of quality healthsafety and environmental best practice associated with offshorewind projects.
  • Knowledge of PMI or PMPcertified or APM certified is desirable.
  • Entrepreneurial organized autonomous rigorouswith excellent attention to detail
