Within our consult business we harness our unique combination of leading-edge practical expertise and project delivery consultancy to unlock the potential in every project. We are currently recruiting for a local government regional lead for the southern region. This role sits within the consult engine, specifically in cities and places market.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the growth of the local government and communities business unit in the region.
  • Directing and developing a team that supports the needs of the region.
  • Leading the development of strategic management plans.
  • Building and managing key stakeholder relationships.
  • Managing the resources, driving the achievement of company objectives in accordance with BU requirements, compliance and regulatory frameworks, ensuring effective commercial business practices, tangible operational productivity and improvements.
  • Responsible for the business growth and market positioning through sales and/or growth of accounts or relationships - driving a future-proofed, sustainable business.
  • Focus on growing the sub-sectors, local government, housing and regeneration, sports and leisure, arts culture and heritage, blue light and schools.

About you

The successful candidate will have demonstrable leadership and management experience in a relevant field and capability to lead a multidisciplinary team. With experience in business development and a track record in successful delivery of major programmes/projects in local government, housing and regeneration, through all phases. You will also be degree qualified or essential experience in lieu, and ideally a chartered professional.
