The Children's Hospital Reconfiguration Project is part of the £450 million investment received by Leicester Hospitals that has already relocated the Paediatric East Midlands Congenital Heart Centre and ECMO service from Glenfield Hospital to the Leicester Royal Infirmary (LRI) site. We ae now entering the second phase which is to create a new age-appropriate and purpose built environment bringing together all paediatric services in a standalone and fully integrated Children's Hospital at the LRI to serve the population of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland and the East Midlands network. Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating programmes of evidenced-based nursing care to a group of patients.
Assisting and contributing in the management and organisation of a ward / clinical area.
Co-ordinate, organise and prioritise the work of the nursing team on a day-to-day basis. Supervise others and participate in their education and development.
Contribute to the development of services, new ways of working and time implementation of change.
Maximise the effective and efficient use of clinical, physical and financial resources.
Monitor and maintain health, safety and security of self and others.
