Your new company
This is an exciting time to join Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council's Adult Social Care Team, who are currently restructuring their community social work teams to create town teams and a separate Learning Disability and Autism Team.
Your new role
In this new role, you will be undertaking safeguarding investigations, mental capacity assessments, best interest decisions, carrying out outcome focused assessments, with support planning, to meet their care and support needs. This role is full time (37 hours) and will pay between £24-32.
What you'll need to succeed
Sandwell are looking for a Committed and thorough Qualified Social Worker who has Adult Social Work experience working with people with Learning Disabilities/Autism. You will need to be motivated and flexible with high professional standards and knowledge and experience of current legislation including the Care Act 2014, Continuing Health Care, Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and Community DOLS/LPS. Knowledge of physical disability, people with profound & complex needs, carers and the wider community would also be preferable.
