Job summary

We areseeking a highly organised Care Navigator/Medical Receptionist to join ourdedicated, busy and friendly team at our Eccleston site. Main duties of the job

Greet and check-in patients,ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere

Schedule appointments and manage theappointment calendar

Verify patient information and update recordsas necessary

Answer phone calls andrespond to enquiries in a professional and timely manner

Processingrequests for repeat medication

Scanning andattaching patient documents to clinical records

Maintain cleanliness andorganisation of the reception area

Collaborate with healthcareproviders and other staff members to ensure efficient workflow

Undertake generaladministrative duties

About us

We have two sites, one in the rural village of Croston, Leyland and another in Eccleston, Chorley. This role is based at our Eccleston site and you will be amongst a team of 6 or 7 group members. We are a hard working, friendly and supportive team. We are looking to fill either 1 x 32 hour role Monday to Friday or 1 x 17 hour role Monday to Wednesday and 1 x 16 hour role Wednesday to Friday. Holidays are 22 days plus bank holidays (pro-rata for part time working) and there will always be an opportunity for some overtime working when needed. You will be provided with in-house training and support during the probationary period.

Person Specification

Experience

Essential

Experience working within a health care setting. Fully conversant with and confident using the EMIS software system. Experience of working in a customer facing role. Good computer skills and competent in the use of Microsoft Office and Outlook. Clear and polite telephone manner. Able to work under pressure. Reliable, polite and approachable. Flexible approach to cover for annual leave and sickness.

Desirable

Experience working within the primary care environment. Experience working in a GP practice.
