Your Responsibilities

The University of Cambridge is seeking an experienced individual to supervise the Helpdesk Team within our Estates Division. The University and partnering maintenance contractor Equans have created this unique working model to ensure all retained personal are fully embedded into the Equans team, yet are retained via contracts or employment by the University.

The Operational Estate comprising some 370 teaching, academic and research buildings with a total footprint of 723,000 square metres. Maintaining these buildings to a safe and compliant standard is challenging, but you'll be an integral part of the Universities mission to contribute to society through the pursuit of education, learning and research at the highest international levels of excellence.

The Helpdesk Supervisor will support the work of the Estates and Equans Operational teams in the area of Reactive Maintenance. The purpose of the Helpdesk is to act as the first point of contact for Stakeholders reporting through repair issues from across the Estate. Handling jobs from cradle to grave, to include job updates and queries through to approval of invoices once complete. The Helpdesk Supervisor will ensure that all repairs are logged in a consistently detailed and accurate manner within the Equans CAFM system.

About You

You are able to demonstrable experience of working in customer services role within a facilities or asset management background, along with having experience in leading a team.

Ideally you will have used a variety of CAFM systems previously and are used to working to a high level of accuracy.

For this role you will need strong interpersonal and organisational skills which will help you with your ability to work within a team, plan and manage work activities, communicate and prioritise workloads. You will also have previous experience of team management to ensure work processes are maintained as well as looking for opportunities to improve.
