The opportunity

Head of Zeus has recently joined the Bloomsbury family and is an award-winning independent publisher of fiction, narrative non-fiction and children’s books.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the International Sales team at Bloomsbury, to work across the Head of Zeus (HoZ) list.

The role

The role will be supporting the sales and marketing of Head of Zeus titles internally to the Bloomsbury International sales team based in London, and the intercompany offices in New York, Sydney and Delhi.

You will be responsible for creating sales materials, including presentations and order forms, running sales reports, checking TI sheets, organising proof mailings and assisting with international author events.

You will work with all departments across Head of Zeus, including Editorial, Marketing, Art and Production, and will be involved in departmental meetings to ensure relevant information and materials are available to the team.

The role will involve assisting in preparation for all international Book Fairs and conferences, with attendance at London and Frankfurt book fairs as required.

Knowledge, skills and experience

This is an entry level position with no prior experience required Strong numeracy, communication and attention to detail is essential The candidate should be a self-starter and a strong team player, and have the ability to multi-task and prioritise a busy work load Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Word and Teams would be useful

Additional information

The role is a full-time permanent position with a salary pay point of £27,000 pa.

The role is based between our London office 50 Bedford Square, London, WC1B 3DP and our Head of Zeus office 5-8 Hardwick Street, London, EC1R 4RG, on a hybrid working pattern of 2 days office based / 3 days home based. Allocated office days for this role are Monday (at Bloomsbury) and Tuesday (at Head of Zeus).

This position is eligible for Bloomsbury’s Rental Deposit Loan Scheme. To assist candidates who want to start and to establish a career in publishing, Bloomsbury offers an interest-free rental deposit to support securing somewhere to live. The rental deposit loan can be up to £3,000 and will be paid back over 2 years.
