Global Veterinary Careers is seeking a passionate and experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse for a new clinic in the Chiswick, London area. This is a full-time or part time, permanent opportunity.

Position Overview: The Registered Veterinary Nurse will provide high-quality care to animal patients and support the team of veterinarians. Responsibilities include assisting with surgeries, administering medications, conducting diagnostic tests, and delivering excellent customer service to pet owners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Care:

    • Monitor anesthesia and maintain precise records.
    • Record accurate and detailed clinical notes.
    • Administer treatments as directed by veterinarians.
    • Assist in both invasive and non-invasive procedures.
    • Tend to any unsettled animals promptly.

  • Customer Interaction:

    • Handle pet-related queries with care and enthusiasm.
    • Update owners on their pet's progress with regular, cheerful updates.
    • Share tips and tricks with pet owners about routine and specialized care.

  • Facility Maintenance:

    • Disinfect surgical rooms, medical equipment, and maintain cleanliness.
    • Monitor and maintain stock levels.

  • Team Collaboration:

    • Primarily based at one site but ready to assist at other locations as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Experience: Demonstrable experience as a veterinary nurse. Registered with the RCVS is essential. 
  • Skills: Proficient in nurse consults, animal handling, GA monitoring, and operating theatre procedures.
  • Education: Veterinary Nursing Degree or equivalent.
  • Team Player: Ability to work well with a diverse team of professionals who share a passion for pet care.
