RVN required to join our wonderful team in North London. We are a family owned independent small animal practice, offering first opinion services and supported by the Royal Veterinary College for our OOHs.
You will be joining a large, well established and settled team of veterinary professionals who are fiercely passionate, supportive and progressive. Our receptionists, surgeons, SVNs, RVNs and specialists work as one big family, striving to provide the best care to our patients and owners alike. (Our locums and previous staff can provide references of our lovely practice upon request)
We have modern, light and spacious facilities and an extensive range of equipment on site including full IDEXX lab, ultrasound, dental xray, endoscope and digital xray. We have free no restriction parking, great transport links into London and an endless supply of support from our team
Our idea colleague will be dynamic and proactive with solid all-round skills. You will have the ability to embrace all aspects of the veterinary nurse role, delivering excellent client and patient care. You will work 8-hour shifts for a better work life balance and 1:5 saturdays on a shared rota basis. We keep our rota fair and sensible. The role is ideally full-time but part-time would be considered.
**Salary**: £26,690.00-£30,000.00 per year

**Responsibilities**:
- Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
- Perform laboratory tests and procedures, such as bloodwork and urinalysis
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Monitor and record vital signs of animals
- Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
- Provide post-operative care and monitor recovery
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and medication administration
- Maintain accurate medical records for each animal
**Skills**:
- Strong knowledge of veterinary medicine and procedures
- Proficiency in conducting laboratory tests and interpreting results
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Compassion for animals and their well-being
