Chilled Pubs are on the search for an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our ever-growing family. With exciting growth plans over the next 5 years, and a desire to develop future talented leaders from our own crop, we could be the perfect next step in your career.  

 

Who are Chilled Pubs? 

It all started back in 2007 when Loren agreed to Richards crazy dream, and they together purchased the Bulls head in Repton. Fast forward 17 years and they have a thriving pub chain, With 7 gorgeous sites, over 600 employees and 7 mascot alpacas. Driven by their vision to become one of the top, leading pub brands in The Midlands, they’re passionate about finding superstars to live and breathe their values and ensure all guests are truly wowed by their chilled pub experience. With no signs of slowing down, Richard and Loren are always on the lookout for their next project and would like to reach a portfolio of 20 pubs in the near future.  

 

What the role entails?   

  • Working closely with the General Manager & Restaurant Manager to ensure we maximise guest & team experience through effective leadership and management of the Restaurants.   

  • Confidently leading the front of house team with a focus on exceeding the guests' expectation by delivering high levels of service, standards, and product quality.  

  • Taking a pro-active role in both your own personal development and your teams. Identifying any areas of improvement and seeking the appropriate training and coaching to ensure you and your team remain at the top of your game. 

  • Supporting the Restaurant Manager to drive individual & team performance against agreed KPIs. Whether this be through conducting impactful 121s, team briefings, or an alternate method, leading the team to deliver excellence is a key responsibility for this role.   

  • Working efficiently and supporting your team, keeping a close eye on ticket times, food and drink quality and overall guest experience, resolving any complaints, and offering support and guidance to the team when required.   

  • Ensuring both yourself and your team has a full understanding of our menu so you can confidently make recommendations and answer any guests’ questions.  

  • Preparing the restaurant / bar areas for our guests’ arrival and ensuring the ambience is set appropriately in line with the Chilled standard (think lights, music, candles).

  • Somebody with a flexible approach to work, this isn’t a typical 9-5 role, and both evening and weekend work will be required.
