Commercial Finance Analyst, Global Commercial Finance 

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Commercial Finance team within EPS. This is a key role, reporting to the Finance Manager in the Commercial Finance – Global Commercial Support team. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for monthly and quarterly forecast submissions, reviewing and supporting forecast models across divisions, troubleshooting data issues, collaborating on process enhancements, and providing key updates to stakeholders. In addition, you will be providing variance analysis and monthly forecast reporting.

EPS partners with businesses across a wide range of verticals, including loyalty programs, airlines, travel agents, corporate travel management companies and online retailers who remarket EPS rates and availabilities to their travelers. Partners can access EPS products in the way that best suits their business, whether that is a fully customizable environment through EPS APIs or an ‘off-the-shelf’ white-label or cobranded template solution offering or its agent tools. 

What you'll do:

  • Responsible for monthly submission of consolidated top-line forecasts
  • Responsible for quarterly submission of consolidated commission forecasts
  • Rolling-forward, initial review, ongoing support, and final review of the forecast models for each division, with an understanding of each division’s key differentiators and resulting impact on forecast methodology
  • Supporting the build of forecast scenarios based on latest momentum trends and expected risks or opportunities
  • Ensuring inputted forecast represents expectations from Leadership, and accommodating any last-minute changes
  • Troubleshooting data issues and proactively investigating unusual trends or variances
  • Work with the finance and analytics teams to drive enhancements into forecasting process for greater accuracy and simplification
  • Identifying opportunities for process enhancements, either building directly or supporting the work depending on complexity
  • Key point-of-contact for communicating updates to and answering queries from stakeholders, whilst responding and investigating in a timely manner
  • Performing analysis into variances versus actuals/prior forecast/prior year or other ad-hoc deep-dive analysis as required
  • Preparing monthly reporting on forecast output and key variances and trends

Who you are:

  • Bachelors degree, 2:1 in Accounting, Finance or related field of study; or Equivalent professional experience
  • Highly fluent in English
  • Robust Excel skills: ability to build models, simplify existing formulas, sense-check data sets for accuracy and completeness, and troubleshoot when errors arise
  • Proven ability to deep-dive into large data sets and identify key drivers or unusual variances
  • Proven ability to operate autonomously and to juggle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively and meet deadlines
  • Proven ability to think “outside the box” as required and identify alternative solutions
  • A relationship builder, exceptional listener and team player
  • Experienced and enthusiastic working in dynamic, entrepreneurial environments
  • Someone who thrives in large, global, fast-moving organizations
