With that in mind, we have a fantastic opportunity for in our Commercial Finance Team for a Commercial Finance Analyst. Reporting to the Commercial Finance Manager, the Commercial Finance Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the finance team and the wider business by providing critical reporting, budgeting, forecasting and analysis. Your insights will give our leadership team the tools required to drive our business forward.

Duties and Responsibilities as Commercial Finance Analyst will include:
  • Dive into weekly trade analysis across all business channels, uncovering key insights into sales, margin, and stock performance
  • Craft, enhance, and maintain financial reports
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to conduct detailed variance analysis and ensure consistency in reporting
  • Manage overheads effectively, preparing monthly reports and facilitating budget review meetings
  • Monitor warehouse and logistics costs and efficiencies, identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Support group reporting requirements, including monthly sales analysis and budgeting and forecasting
  • Collaborate with the Commercial Finance Manager on annual budget preparation and ad-hoc projects
About You

To be successful in the role of Commercial Finance Analyst you will have the following skills and experience:
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Advanced Excel
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both financial and non-financial stakeholders
  • Proactive mindset with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience with accounting and stock systems such as Sage, Merret, and Cognos advantageous
  • Retail experience and familiarity with multisite operations preferred
  • Qualified chartered accountant or a finalist
