We arecurrently searching for an Assistant Manager to join our ManchesterStore team.

As our Assistant Manager you willpartner with the Store Manager to own the success of your store bydriving sales delivering exceptional customer service inspiring andleading your team whilst coordinating seamless operations. Oursuccessful candidate will join us with management experience in asimilar role from a comparable business ready to add value to thebusiness and lead by example by embodying the Belstaffvalues.


Weare looking for someone who will be responsiblefor:

  • Working closelywith the Store Manager to prioritise and create a client centricculture that exceeds the benchmark for ourindustry
  • Supporting in creating a dynamic andpositive team environment empowering the team to deliver memorablestorytelling and achieve targets through role modelling and regulartraining coaching and development
  • Consistentlyachieving sales targets and KPIs motivating the team as well asmaking a significant personalcontribution
  • Being aware of sell through andsharing ideas with the Store Manager to respond with commercialsolutions
  • Reporting daily weekly and monthly toStore Manager on sales patterns best sellers sales by employee andproposing actions based on business trends to enhanceperformance
  • Managing stock closely includinglabelling tagging and storage whilst monitoringshrinkage
  • Maximising stock levels on the shopfloor promoting key products and maintaining awareness of currentpress and editorial features
  • Engaging existingclients and attracting new; actively encouraging the team to use anentrepreneurial approach and using CRM to maximise brandloyalty
  • Assisting in planning and coordinatinginstore promotional events
  • Overseeing VisualMerchandising for the store alongside the Store Manager includingfollowing guidelines maintaining excellent standards deliveringtraining to your team and sharing updates with HeadOffice
  • Engaging the team through strongleadership hosting regular updates supporting to set objectives anddevelop trust and loyalty through fair and consistent management ofthe team
  • Supporting with recruitment andselection processes for storevacancies
  • Identifying and resolvingall employee issues in a prompt and professional manner inpartnership with the Store Manager and HRTeam
  • Ensuring all administrative aspects of therole are carried out efficiently andaccurately
  • Producing monthly staffing schedulesin partnership with or the absence of the StoreManager
  • Proactively supporting with managingand following all company rules and HSE legislation and providingregular training so that the team can do thesame
  • Following Company Store Security cashhandling and key holding procedures and ensuring they are adheredto at all times
  • Coordinating and participatingin all audits andcounts


Weare looking for someone whohas:

  • Experience in asimilar management role for a premium/ luxury apparelbrand
  • A commercial approach to driving salesand service in the store forward with a strong awareness of themarket
  • Demonstrable experience of driving acustomer journey from an omnichannel brandapproach
  • A balanced portfolio of strengthsacross Sales People Development Operational Excellence and CustomerService
  • Competence using the Microsoft OfficeSuite including Outlook Powerpoint andExcel
  • Confidence and experience of analysingreports and converting data into tangible actionplans
