We currently have a fantastic opportunity within our Centres in Kent for you to apply for the role of Team Leader – Artrack.

Artrack is an art studio, run by the National Autistic Society, based in our SAND building. It is a space where autistic adults with learning difficulties can be creative in a safe and supportive environment. They are encouraged to experiment with new mediums and subject matters and all work towards exhibiting their artwork. They are also supported to access and take part in community art events and competitions.

You will need a background in the Arts and experience of leading groups/workshops to produce meaningful art work for all abilities. You will need knowledge of various art forms to help them learn new skills.

  The role includes:

Having oversight of support packages including reviewing care plans and outcomes for the people we support Supporting the development of the staff team, including conducting supervisions and appraisals, ensuring staff have access to suitable learning and development opportunities and presenting self as a role model/mentor Assisting with the smooth running and day to day operations of the service

This advert is for a full-time position 37.5 Hours. The salary for this position is £25,818 per annum

Your working pattern in this role will require flexibility to meet the needs of the people supported and their families, and will include evening and weekend working.

We need you to be:  Resilient, supportive and sensitive towards the needs of autistic people. Suitable candidates will have experience of management and/or shift leading within a social care setting. Being a Team Leader takes leadership skills, patience and commitment. But working with autistic people gives so much more in return.

To protect our autistic adults, all staff are required to have a criminal background check. Possession of an Enhanced DBS Check either on the Update Service or conducted within the last 12 months would be preferable but not essential.
