We are looking for a dynamic and experienced manager/team leader to manage the North Kent locality service and staff covering all areas of the Community Paediatrics service.
The Community Paediatrics Department in Kent Community Health Foundation Trust (KCHFT)is formed of two localities - North (Dartford, Gravesend and Swanley) and West Kent (Maidstone, Malling, Sevenoaks, Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells and Cranbrook). The Central referrals and appointments team accepts referrals Paediatric services including ASD, ADHD and other neurodevelopmental issues from the GP, Education (including special schools) and other health care providers.
As a manager/team leader you will facilitate the delivery of outstanding care by being responsible for the co-ordination and implementation of all administrative processes, ensuring these are managed efficiently, effectively and in accordance with targets and agreed timescales. This includes communicating in a professional and compassionate manner, especially when there may be barriers to understanding or requires gaining the cooperation of others through tact, negotiation or persuasive skills.
You will ensure administrative functions operate effectively by ensuring the admin team resource is developed and proficient, managing the provision of administrative performance and activity, co-ordinating and allocating tasks, analysing data to determine trends, highlight concerns and identifying potential solutions and holding a delegated budget for office equipment and services.
In addition, you will support personal and people development by demonstrating commitment to continuous professional development, supporting the recruitment process for administrative team members
including overseeing and participating in local induction processes for new starters into the service, management of junior administrative staff including supervisions, appraisals, objective setting and performance management, motivating staff regarding opportunities for personal
development.
