We are recruiting for a Waking Night Support Worker to support 4 gentlemen who share a large home just outside of Dalkeith. The role is for 37.5 hours per week and is for waking night shifts only. 

The people we support have faced a lot of challenges in the past because of their learning disabilities, Autism and mental health issues, but this hasn’t stopped them from enjoying life They enjoy lots of activities, including going to parties, dancing, going out for a cuppa, going to the cinema and theatre, eating out, travelling and football. However, they’re always up for trying new things, so are looking for inventive people who are up for the challenge. The gentlemen we support have 2 pet cats, so it's important that you like cats and are happy to help support the men to care for them. The service is located outside of Dalkeith and is more easily accessible by car, so our ideal candidate would hold a UK driving license.

Our support team are very diverse and work well together to ensure the people we support are happy and safe in their own homes. This can include:

•Supporting them with medication
•Cooking 
•Assisting with personal care
•Maintaining the homes of the people we support and managing their finances 

Our team provide support 7 days a week, so we are looking for some flexibility to work from Monday to Sunday to ensure the shifts are fair for all staff. Your values: The people we support like to be supported by people who respect them and their homes, but who also like to have fun
