Job summary
At Somerset NHS Foundation Trust, we are dedicated to providing outstanding care and support to our patients and their families. Due to internal reconfiguration, we are currently looking for a PALS Advisor to join our dynamic team and play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our service quality.
Our role as a team is to ensure that the patient and carer voice is at the centre of all we do as an organisation. You'll become a key part of the Patient Experience and Engagement Team dedicated to ensuring patient experience informs the care provided by the Trust.
Main duties of the job
As a PALS Advisor, you will be integral to the patient advice and liaison process within the Trust, ensuring compassionate engagement with our patients and the people who matter to them. You will also ensure that all enquiries are handled efficiently, empathetically, and in compliance with NHS guidelines.
With support from your team, your role will involve managing the entire lifecycle of PALS enquiries, from initial receipt through to resolution, working closely with clinical and non-clinical teams to ensure a timely and satisfactory outcome.
You'll work closely with the PALS Manager to make a significant contribution in developing the patient experience function to support service groups in the delivery of the Patient Experience and Engagement Strategy.
If you are passionate about making a difference in patient care and have the skills and experience we are looking for, we would love to hear from you.
About us
As an organisation, the NHS offers a wide range of benefits including flexible working, pension contributions, market leading annual leave allowance, career progression, and regular conversations, not to mention our Blue Light Card and NHS exclusive discounts.
The benefits of working in Somerset include the idyllic countryside, with our areas of outstanding beauty and stunning coastlines. You will get to enjoy these perks whilst still only being a stone's throw away from bustling city centres like Bristol, Bath and Exeter and only two hours away from London.
There are excellent educational facilities in the area and, when compared to other regions, house prices are reasonable. You will experience the best of both in Somerset, the countryside and the cosmopolitan - there is truly something for everyone
