Job Description

Reporting to – Material Control Supervisor

  • To check and verify deliveries of materials in and out of the stores.
  • Inspect for loss or damage of deliveries.
  • Book in deliveries and inform recipients
  • Maintain the stores in a clean and safe condition.
  • Work day shifts (7am -3.30pm, 7.30am - 4pm, 8am - 4.30pm)
  • Enter into the computerised system all materials received and dispatched.
  • Pack material for dispatch.
  • Administer receipt of tools and tool calibration.
  • Conduct physical and computerised stock checks including rolling and/ or annual Inventories.
  • Interface with internal and external customers/suppliers.
  • Purchasing stock /fuel/following up of incoming transactions.
  • Delivery and collection of company materials.
  • Be able to dispatch items using shipping agents DHL FEDEX etc.
  • Liaise with customs regarding imports to the UK.
  • Arrange for the delivery and collection of vehicles in Europe and worldwide.
  • Act in accordance with the behaviours for UTAC staff at all times

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • A current full UK driving licence
  • A current fork/reach truck licence would be desirable
  • Good general level of education

Experience

  • Experience in Material handling / warehousing / stock control
  • Used to working in a busy environment
  • Awareness / appreciation of health and safety practices and procedures

Skills

  • To be able to follow written and verbal instructions
  • A basic level of computer literacy
  • Numeracy, Literacy and organisational skills
