What will your job look like?
As a Shift Supervisor, you’ll inspire your team to work together effectively, overcome problems and smash their performance targets every shift. Always looking for smarter, more efficient ways of working, you’ll drive continual improvement in the DC so that, as a business, we’re always getting better at meeting customer needs. You’ll also deputise for the Operations Manager when required.
Of course you’ll make sure the DC is a pleasant and safe place to work for all team members, but it’s your attention to their skill development that will enable you to retain them. Challenging and supporting team members with coaching, you’ll build a culture of performance where everyone can reach their potential—and where the skills needed to fulfil business needs are always in development.

You’ll be the kind of person that inspires dedication and loyalty in others. Not because you’re an authoritarian but because you’re approachable and always encouraging and supporting your team members’ development. In a nutshell, they respect you—that’s why they’ll always give you their best.
That respect was hard won. When it comes to people management, this isn’t your first rodeo. You’ll have line management experience and be accustomed to working with a large number of reports. You’ll be able to hit the ground running and immediately start driving performance—and your career—to the next level.
A little about us
Founded in the early 60s, we're still a family-owned business with the same strong values of quality and customer care now as when we first started. From selling plastic bags for home freezing from the Rayner family garage in Windermere, to over 4000 kitchen and home products today, Lakeland has grown to the extent that we now sent out thousands of parcels a day from our Kendal despatch centre, and we have stores nationwide, stretching from Aberdeen to Exeter, with more in the pipeline...
