Business Support, Cathedral View, Suffolk
£12 per hour
Temporary fixed term position until Jan 2025 for 22.5 hours

We are looking for a Business Support to work in our Cathedral View service. Cathedral View is a short break respite centre for people with learning disabilities, autism and others with social care needs. Our team of dedicated staff have a wealth of experience and are fully trained to meet the needs of our customers. We pride ourselves on delivering person centred care.

We are looking for a Business Support to provide admin support to our Management Team and Support Workers. The position is varied and includes finance responsibilities, such as invoicing and payroll, keeping day plans and rotas up to date, ordering stationary, processing annual leave, answering the telephone and dealing with queries and other tasks delegated by the Management team. Most importantly, we are looking for somebody who will liaise with our customers and their families, providing them with a professional and friendly service.

Leading Lives provides social care support for people with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs in the home and in the community across Suffolk and neighbouring counties. We are a not-for-profit social enterprise, owned by our employees. Any surplus we make is reinvested back into services for our customers or into the local community.

Your induction

As part of your induction with Leading Lives you will need to attend the Leading Lives three week induction and complete a comprehensive training plan which consists of online and in person training, building your confidence on items such as safeguarding, building rapport and total communication. You will complete this by coming into the office each week Monday – Wednesday 9am-4pm and between Thusday to Sunday you will be allocated shadowing hours (times to be confirmed before your start date).

All new colleagues will be starting on one of the below dates which will be confirmed in writing by the Recruitment Department: your start date is subject to successful completion of onboarding.

  • 30th September

  • 21st October

  • 11th November

  • 2nd December
