We are looking for a driven, creative Product Designer to become a central part of the toy development team. Working closely with a vibrant group of internal and external partners, including our US, Dutch and Hong Kong offices. 

What you’d be doing:
  • Create inspiring new concepts for physical toys
  • Brainstorm, sketch and build out product concepts
  • Helping to identify new trends and product opportunities
  • Own the design aesthetics, play pattern and experience of the brand/product.
  • Make visual brand presentations and present them to higher management
  • Lead brainstorming sessions within the design team.
  • Test your products with kids

Requirements

  • 3-5 years toy industry experience, ideally Arts & Craft or fashion lead hardline products.
  • Product designer with relevant degree or equivalent qualification would be ideal but not a must.
  • Good sketching skills to clearly present ideas and thoughts to other team members, and the senior management team.
  • 3D sculpting, even a basic understanding in Blender or Nomad for example, would be highly advantageous.
  • Good knowledge of current design packages including but not limited to Adobe Creative Suite and Blender.
  • Strong interest in toys, arts & crafts and fashion/trends are very important.
  • Outgoing, open, and energetic personality with good sense humour.
  • A professional, talented, self-motivated, and dedicated Product Designer striving for new skills, knowledge, experience, and personal development. 
  • Hands on person who loves to not only sketch ideas but prototype them as well.
  • Excellent initiative and creative problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to listen and understand other people’s views & objectives. 
  • Experience and understanding of managing schedules across multiple simultaneous projects. 
  • Self-motivated positive team worker with excellent organisational and an attention to detail.
  • Fluent in English, other languages are a plus.
