Job Opportunity
- Provide strong leadership, setting and upholding high standards of performance, conduct and behaviour
- Motivate and guide the team, setting clear moral and ethical standards to ensure excellence
- Oversee the performance and development of your team; including scheduling, holiday management, sickness and absence management, wage queries, 1:1 meetings, LMS updates, performance management and training records using Power BI
- Manage day-to-day security operations, ensuring optimal deployment of security personnel across all posts to maintain site security, while delivering the highest standards of customer care and professionalism
- Ensure that all Security Officers are fully aware of, and adhere to, procedures covering security, health & safety, environmental, quality and training requirements
- Act as the Incident Controller during any on-site emergencies, coordinating with the security team and emergency services and conducting thorough investigations into risks and incidents with comprehensive reporting for management review
- Conduct regular team briefings, refresher training and security inductions for new employees, visitors and contractors, ensuring the team remains informed and prepared
- Ensure all protective security systems are fully operational, manage access control (including card creation), and oversee the reporting and resolution of any system faults in line with established procedures
- Ensure all officers are dressed to the required standard, participate in the creation and updating of SOPs, and support project management with any additional tasks as required
Essential Skills
- SIA Licence
- 3yrs+ Security experience
- 2–3 years of supervisory or lone management experience
- Reliable
- Good communication skills
- Strong people management skills
- Ability to support colleagues under pressure
- Advanced computer skills with essential proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
