Job overview

This post provides an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated pharmacist with a clinical pharmacy background to join the Kings College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust Womens and Childrens Pharmacy Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and delivering a high-quality, clinical service to the expanding neonatal unit at the Princess Royal University Hospital site with opportunities for cross-site working.

The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to work across other areas of Women’s and Child Health including general paediatrics, maternity and gynaecology

Main duties of the job

Key activities of the post holder will be to:

·Lead on the expansion of the high-dependency neonatal unit at the Princess Royal University Hospital

·Ensure delivery of optimal pharmaceutical care

·Develop neonatal transitional care services across all sites

·Assist with ongoing optimisation of Epic Electronic Healthcare System across neonatology

·Provide extensive pharmaceutical care and medicines management services to areas across Women’s and Child Health

·Deputise for the Principal Pharmacist Women’s and Children’s

·Participate in multidisciplinary ward rounds and other clinical meetings

·Participate in clinical audit, risk management and clinical guideline development

·Provide supervision, education and training to pharmacists and other healthcare professionals
