Summary: The Assistant Trade Marketing Manager is responsible for creating and driving the marketing strategy in line with global guidelines for Huda Beauty and implementing trade, brand & product activations for specific UK & European retailers.

Key areas: product and trade marketing to increase brand awareness, drive footfall, create engagement and drive sales.

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Trade Marketing:

  • Create and deliver strong trade marketing plan for our brands on a scope of selective EU retailers & Dept Stores. 
  • Partner with the Commercial Team in the creation and execution of marketing activations with unique 360 campaigns in accordance with global brand guidelines. Liaise with retailers, internal and Global departments and external partners to secure opportunities and coordinate initiatives to deliver sales targets. 
  • Responsible for the timely and flawless execution of the Marketing plan for the retailers in your remit.
  • Brief & manage external agencies for the adaptation and development of regional marketing collaterals (artworks, emailers, media creatives, retailer exclusive GWP’s, gift wrap and seasonal boxes).
  • Responsible for the regional product assortment and kits offer, ensuring it is competitive and meets retailers’ needs.
  • Manage internal launch reports for your category, leveraging sales data and coordinating with all functions to get their insights to draw learnings.
  • Present at marketing internal meetings and seasonal retailer strategy meetings.
  • Work collaboratively with the Senior Marketing Manager to proactively suggest specific approaches to drive localization eg. Product, Pricing, go to market strategy. 
  • Develop excellent relationships with retail partners, ensuring all opportunities to promote the brand are maximised.
  • Work closely with Sales, PR, Training and VM to ensure translation of marketing plan and visualisation to the teams.
  • Be an active contributor in cross functional meetings and provide notes and follow up actions.

Assets & Content:

  • Ensure consistency of Huda Beauty style and core values in all trade marketing activities and locally produced materials.
  • Brief in asset requests with global marketing team to ensure our market needs are being met.
  • Manage exclusive social content / asset requests for EU retailers & Dept Stores with global team for NPD launches & exclusive activations.

Beauty Boxes:

  • Manage ongoing Beauty Box requests. Lead negotiations, remain the point of contact for all requirements for the successful implementation of the boxes (logistics, contracts, samples, marketing exposure / plan, assets, copy, social competitions, social exposure, and any other ad hoc requirements).
  • Continue to assess box participation, capturing key social activity (influencers, social content, social competitions / giveaways, articles etc.) and highlight key learnings to adapt accordingly for future boxes.

Budget:

  • Monitor expenditures by activity in line with budget and ensure budget trackers are correctly maintained.
  • Raise PO for the Huda Beauty marketing team before activity commences and follow up with suppliers & Finance on invoicing & payment.
  • Ensure that all activities are carried out with budget parameters as agreed with the Senior Marketing Manager & Senior Marketing Director.

General:

  • Manage with Global teams new product samples & comps ordering and tracking.
  • Arrange retailers’ product requests for marketing campaigns, photoshoots, and social exposures, etc.
  • Support any ad-hoc project as required by the business.

Requirements:

  • Multiple years of beauty industry experience is a must, preferably in make-up, with demonstrated leadership approach
  • Strong Retail and Trade marketing experience
  • Knowledge of several UK and European Retailers. 
  • Digital forward thinking
  • Good balance of strategic and operational, consumer centric marketing experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to liaise confidently with retail partners, agencies
  • Must be organized, rigourous, detail oriented and self-directed
  • Ability to adapt quickly within a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
  • “Can do” attitude
  • Strong Excel Skills, PowerPoint and Microsoft Office; Photoshop or Illustrator a plus
