Job summary

Due to an expansion of our team, we are looking to recruit into our friendly and hardworking GP practice

As part of the Clinical Support team you will be involved in supporting the clinical staff dealing with both inbound queries from patients, as well as assisting outbound calls liaising with patients regarding results and as ensuring the surgery is actively reaching patients who need to be reviewed for acute as well as ongoing health conditions.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, driven individual who want to work and develop their skills in an interesting and exciting healthcare environment, where no two days are the same. We are building a strong, supportive team, and we would welcome applications from a range of professional backgrounds and experiences.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will need to have excellent organisational skills, excellent communication skills, and be able to work under pressure and adapt quickly to an ever-changing environment.

We would require some 8am starts and/or 18:30 finishes

About us

We are a large practice in Cheetham Hill, near the City Centre and have a population list of over 20,000 patients which is growing everyday.

We are quite a large team of over 20 non clinicians and 20 clinicians. Whatever your role in the practice we all come into work to work hard, but also to enjoy our time working.

Job responsibilities

To have a thorough knowledge of all practice policies, procedures and protocols and know where to access them for reference adhering to them at all times To support the data management team with chronic disease recall systems To receive incoming and initiate outgoing telephone calls in order to facilitate timely and appropriate communications with others, taking messages and dealing with appropriate queries. Processing of incoming documents, emails, requests from clinicians and patient contacts To undertake any other administrative tasks as directed by the practice management within field of competence or following appropriate training. Ensure adherence at all times to the requirements of the Data Protection Act Undertake all reception duties when required to support the practice at times of staff absence Act as a chaperone for general examinations if requested following appropriate training Deal with general enquiries and explain procedures as requested Offer general assistance to the practice teams Attend monthly staff training for mandatory training Any other reasonable tasks requested by Management Person Specification
