Job summary
We wish to appoint a new substantive Consultant Anaesthetist with a sub speciality interest in Pain Medicine. As a busy District General Hospital with a wide range of services we are keen to appoint an enthusiastic consultant who is able to contribute to all areas of DGH hospital anaesthetic and pain practice. Experience and expertise in Pain medicine is essential. Other skills in teaching, management and leadership would also be attractive. Other interests are encouraged and effort will be made to accommodate them within the job plan, subject to annual job plan review and appraisal.
The simulation date will be 16th October 2024 and the Interview date will be 31st October 2024.
Main duties of the job
There is an expectation that the successful candidate will work flexibly with colleagues to ensure the maintenance of a continuing high quality service in Anaesthetics, while supporting the delivery of both inpatient and outpatient pain services. The post holder will work to enhance the department's profile through teaching and education.
