Salary: £23,500 per annum pro rata.

A bit about the role

Staffordshire Emotional Wellbeing service is a targeted early intervention service for children and young people aged 5-18 and their families across Staffordshire in partnership with our Health and Digital partners. We work with children and young people who need specialist support but who do not meet the thresholds for more specialist services.

We are looking for a Young Person Practitioner, who will work out of our intervention hubs in Staffordshire, to deliver services countywide through a community-based approach.

The purpose of the service will be to deliver programmes of one to one/family support based on personalised interventions unique to every child, with an emphasis on building resilience in children and young people.

Full training on the programme will be given and all staff have access to clinical supervision and support.

Let's talk about you as a Young Person Practitioner

Our job description for the Young Persons Practitioner outlines the requirements of the role but the ‘must-haves' are:

Relevant Diploma Level 3 or previous experience working with children and families.Exposure of working within the 5-18 age range.Confidence to conduct 1-2-1 sessions and group work that support children and young people's emotional health and wellbeing.Experience of delivering NICE approved emotional wellbeing interventions to children and young people.Access to a vehicle and a current driving license is essential. The job requires the ability to travel according to the needs of the job, with reasonable adjustments, if required, according to the Equality Act.
