Responsibilities- Plan and deliver comprehensive drama lessons that align with the school curriculum
- Facilitate the development of students' acting, improvisation, and performance skills
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment to encourage student engagement and participation
- Assess and evaluate student progress through formative and summative assessments
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement creative and interdisciplinary projects
- Support and mentor students in their creative pursuits, providing guidance and feedback
- Keep up-to-date with relevant drama pedagogy and industry practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Drama, Performing Arts, or related field
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification
- Proven experience teaching Drama at primary or secondary level
- Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, colleagues, and parents
- Ability to inspire and motivate students in their creative expression
- Organizational skills to effectively plan and manage lessons and resources
- Commitment to creating an inclusive and nurturing learning environment
